A missing Jack Russell terrier — who may have been dog-napped — prompted a desperate search of Prospect Park, an outpouring of help from Brooklyn dog lovers and a flood of bizarre telephone calls to the pup’s anxious owners. Comments (1).

If the sitcom version of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" hadn’t been such a flop, I’d suggest that a television writer head immediately to Spartan Souvlaki in Dyker Heights and start taking notes. The restaurant is the Brooklyn version of the show, with a twist: this family affair is a seven-year success story. Comment.

LUCKY SETTE

Restaurateur Giovanni Tafuri launched his latest venture, Sette Enoteca e Cucina, in May and named it for the Park Slope avenue on which it sits: sette means "seven" in Italian. The new eatery adds much-needed glamour - and a lot of good cooking - to a strip known for mediocre dining. Comment.

After selling over 100 million albums worldwide, performing more than 2,500 concerts in 50 countries before more than 32 million people, rock gods Bon Jovi finally invaded DUMBO. Comment.

Before opening in theaters this weekend, Kevin Jordan’s indie film "Brooklyn Lobster" has already garnered both the "Audience Award for Best Long Island Film" at last month’s Hamptons International Film Festival and the heart of Borough President Markowitz, who proclaimed Nov. 1 to be "Brooklyn Lobster Day."
