MTV hangs up on Downtown
Downtown: MTV’s reality show “The Real World” will no longer house its seven cast members in the newly renovated BellTel Lofts in Downtown, a member of the building’s board confirmed. Comments (2).
Better than Times Square?
Theater: The curtains have gone up on the long-awaited TKTS booth at the Metrotech Center in Downtown Brooklyn. And the offering of discount tickets is cause for a standing ovation. Comment.

Evicted! Soft-serve man who took over tourist attraction is booted
DUMBO: A smoke-belching soft ice-cream truck that had commandeered the city’s much-ballyhooed $1.5-million tourism gateway at the Brooklyn Bridge footpath has been booted by cops — who vowed to ticket its owner if he ever parks there again. Comments (1).
Lookout below! Cement bucket falls 23 stories on Court St
Brooklyn Heights: A five-pound bucket of cement fell 23 stories from nearly the top of 66 Court St., demolishing a city-owned car and bringing back eerie memories of a similar incident 25 years ago — but unlike that fatal accident, only one passer-by was shaken up this time. Comment.
