GO Brooklyn: The Brooklyn Paper#8217;s essential guide to the Borough of Kings

Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005

WRITE STUFF

As part of Brooklyn Arts Exchange’s "First Weekends New Performance and Discussion Series," three choreographers - Kelly Bartnik, Mare Hieronimus and Kayoko Sakoh (pictured) - will present their new works on Jan. 7 and Jan. 8. Comment.

’BEACON’ LIGHTS IT UP

With delicate features and a thin figure, Yanira Castro looks like a dancer. Comment.

MEMORABLE MEALS

People always ask me to name my favorite Brooklyn restaurant, but I can never narrow my answer down to just one. I have my pets, of course, but they change often. I’m not fickle, just lucky. DON’T FORGET

For those who missed Cynthia Hopkins’ "Accidental Nostalgia" at St. Ann’s Warehouse last season, there’s good news. The piece will return to DUMBO on Jan. 5 as part of the "Under the Radar" theater festival and continue for an extended run until Jan. 23. Comment.
