They open at noon, so pig out quickly and then secure a good mermaid-watching spot on Surf Avenue.

Sunday, June 24: 20 years of the POV (“Point of View”) series on PBS are being celebrated at the Brooklyn Museum with two screenings to­day: “Made in L.A.,” a por­trait of garment workers in revolt, and “What I Want My Words To Do To You,” which finds vagina mo­no­logist Eve Ensler (pic­tured) exploring a wo­men’s correctional facility.

Tuesday, June 26: The kids were camped out on the sidewalk to buy tickets to tonight’s sold out Wilco show. Your best bet is to try Craig’s List or get there early and hope that some­one’s unloading extras. If not, grab a coffee from the Uro Cafe up the block and strain to hear from the sidewalk.

Thursday, June 28: The Brooklyn Academy of Music launches its “Afro-Punk Festival” to­night, treating the crowd to a discussion with famed Black Panther founder Bobby Seale. Two short films about the history of the Black Pan­thers will be shown and Seale will talk about the future of the movement. Bring your own beret.

Friday, June 29: Boozy crooner Ryan Adams might not be playing any local shows this summer, but you can listen to his new record, “Easy Tiger” tonight. There will be giveaways and skateboarding videos projected on the walls in addition to four live bands. Go just to hear our fa­vo­rite track, “I Taught My­self How to Grow Old.”
