Brutal mugging

A seemingly polite crook asked a man for some money on Atlantic Avenue on May 28 — and then punched him and stole his wallet when he refused.

The victim said he was near Third Avenue at 3:20 am when the crook approached and said, “Hi, my name is Andy, can I have some money?” according to a police report.

When the man refused, the thug punched him in the face, grabbed his wallet, and fled.

Where: Atlantic and Third avenues
