The Center for Black Literature at Medgar Evers College will host its first annual book fair, "Power of Books," on June 19 from 10 am to 6 pm. Among the literati slated to attend is author-performance artist Carl Hancock Rux (pictured) whose new book "Asphalt" (Atria Books) is generating lots of buzz. Other featured Brooklyn writers and artists are Kevin Powell, Danny Simmons, Javaka Steptoe and more.
