Wollman Rink’s 26,000 square feet of ice
opened Nov. 24 for the 2004-2005 season. Located between the
lake and the Concert Grove in Prospect Park, the ice skating
rink offers amenities such as skate rental ($5) and a snack bar.
Winter is no time to hibernate. Make new friends through one
of the several organizations affiliated with the rink: the Prospect
Park Skate School (718) 282-1226; the Prospect Park Figure Skating
Club (212) 659-5565; and the Brooklyn Blades, amateur men’s and
women’s ice hockey teams, www.brooklynblades.org.
Wollman Rink admission is $5 adults, $3 kids 14 and younger.
The rink is open Fridays from 8:30 am to 9 pm; Saturdays from
10 am to 1 pm, 2 pm to 6 pm, and 7 to 10 pm; and Sundays from
10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm. For additional hours, visit the
