SLOPE ARTISTS

The Brooklyn Paper

Enjoy some fresh air and the fresh perspectives of emerging artists in the "Park Slope & Environs Open Studio Tour" on May 14 and May 15.

This free, self-guided walking tour features the works of 60 artists and is being held in conjunction with the "Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition’s 25th Anniversary Pier Show" in Red Hook, where tourists can pick up their maps.

Among the painters participating in the tour is Eva Mihovich, whose "Lotus Meditation" is pictured.

All of the artists in the open studio tour have artwork featured in Madarts Studio’s exhibit, which is on display now through May 15. The studio is located at 255 18th St. between Fifth and Sixth avenues in Sunset Park.

Tour hours are noon to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Maps can be viewed at www.bwac.org or can be picked up at the BWAC Pier Show (499 Van Brunt St.). Free shuttle bus service to the pier show is offered from the F train’s Smith-Ninth streets station. For more information, e-mail infoartcin@aol.com.
