A man and woman were caught on tape — but not caught by cops — as they tried to steal merchandise from a lingerie store near the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic avenues on Aug. 11.
Employees of the store suspected the two were stealing and began to watch the suspects on the security cameras.
The female suspect was observed stuffing pricy underwear into a shopping bag while her accomplice served as lookout.
When store security confronted the two, they fled.
A man was arrested for stealing and crashing a FedEx truck minutes after the police started tracking the pilfered van on Aug. 8.
Police began following the vehicle at 6:45 pm after receiving the theft report and quickly spotted the truck.
The man tried to escape, but crashed the van on Henry Street between Poplar and Middagh streets and was arrested.
Thousands of dollars in tools were stolen from a contractor’s van on Aug. 9.
The 58-year-old construction worker had parked his van on Cambridge Place between Greene and Gates avenues that morning, but when he returned, the van had been broken into and the $5,825 in construction equipment was missing.
