An 18-year-old woman was brutally assaulted on the corner of Smith and Douglass streets around midnight on Aug. 23, police said.
The woman woke up in a Long Island College Hospital bed with a fractured nose and a blurry recollection of being attacked on the well-lit commercial street by a group of thugs.
Her attackers approached from behind, punching her until she passed out unconscious on the sidewalk. She was found knocked out and missing a $180 necklace and $30.
An ambulance took her to the LICH emergency room.
