Now it can be told: the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy postponed this Tuesday night’s public meeting about future programming in the proposed park because The Brooklyn Paper is so damn good.
Apparently, our preview article about the meeting (“Bridge Park people ready to listen,” Oct. 27) generated such a massive response that Conservancy Executive Director Marianna Koval realized she needed a bigger space to contain the multitudes of people who read the story and were inspired to contribute their two cents.
“It was a positive piece … that generated a level of interest that [showed] we needed more time to prepare,” Koval said.
She’s now hunting for a bigger room — and we’ll be hunting for more “positive” stories at the Nov. 26 meeting.
Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy programming and recreation meeting (location to be announced), Nov. 26, 6:30 pm. Call (718) 802-0603 for information.
