Grudge match

for The Brooklyn Paper

An ex-con took his revenge on his old corrections officer on Nov. 16 — or at least her luxury car — and left a semi-literate note as a souvenir.

The corrections officer, who works on Rikers Island, came out of her building, on Willoughby Avenue between Hall Street and Emerson Place, around 1 pm to catch the man in the act of ripping the side mirror off of her 2007 BMW sedan.

The crook fled before she could catch him, leaving a note on her windshield that read, somewhat cryptically, “This is for 6 main... Hahaha.”

The damage to the car was $1,400, but the victim recognized the man and knows his name, so it isn’t too likely the man will stay on the street for too much longer.

Bus stop bop

A teenager waiting for a bus at Clinton and Myrtle avenues at 3:30 pm on Nov. 14 was attacked by a pair of hoodlums who gave him a swollen lip, but didn’t get his wallet.

Park punch

Right now, there’s a mugger somewhere thinking there’s got to be a better way to earn 10 bucks.

A 28-year-old man was attacked while walking through Fort Greene Park at 9:30 am on Nov. 17, but his assailant got only a single sawbuck.

The violent perp ran through the man’s pockets, demanding, “Where are the secret compartments of your jacket?”

There turned out not to be any, and the thug had to content himself with just enough cash to buy a Metrocard and get the bonus ride.
