A 20-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car on Degraw Street on Nov. 16, police said.
The woman was crossing near Tiffany Place at around 2:30 am when the car slammed into her.
She was taken to Long Island College Hospital, but she was dead upon her arrival.
Police said there was no indication that the driver was intoxicated or speeding, but the investigation is ongoing.
A black-clothed thug robbed a 30-year-old woman walking home alone on Court Street on Nov. 20, police said.
The mugger grabbed the Carroll Gardens resident as she approached the corner of Third Place at around 10 pm, putting her into a chokehold as she attempted to move past him on the narrow sidewalk.
“I’ll hurt you if you scream,” he told her.
The perp got away with a black handbag containing a Razr cellphone and a wallet devoid of cash, but stocked with credit cards. House keys were also taken, police said.
Police arrested a Red Hook man for brutally stabbing his next-door neighbor in the hallway of their Dwight Street apartment building on Nov. 8.
The attacker, 41, is being charged with attempted murder in the 9 pm attack, police said.
The victim, a 35-year-old woman, was sent to Long Island College Hospital for treatment of lacerations on her arms, legs, chest and head.
The arrest was made minutes after the bloody knife attack, which happened in front of the perp and his victim’s apartments on the seventh floor of the city-owned residence.
Police suspect the neighbors were romantically involved.
A burglar broke into an apartment on West Ninth Street near Columbia Street, stole hundreds of dollars in electronics and got away on Nov. 13.
The burglar sneaked into the residence at around 9 am by breaking through a window while the resident was at work, police said. He made off with a DVD player, a CD player and a Norelco razor.
An Italian restaurant on Court Street was burgled sometime during the night of Nov. 14, police said.
The eatery, which is near Ninth Street, lost $500 in loot and a cash register. There was no sign of forced entry, cops said.— with Ariella Cohen
