Thieves let themselves out the front door of a 77th Street hair salon — after letting themselves in through the wall of a vacant adjoining shop.
And the safe was a piece of cake compared to the wall.
Cops say the owner of the salon, which is near Third Avenue, discovered the crime on Dec. 12.
The not-so small time crooks caused a lot of damage, and got away with $1,400.
When a 42-year-old man arrived to open his Bay Ridge Avenue store on Dec. 13, he discovered that someone had gotten in first.
Thieves had broken in overnight by lifting the front gates and making off with $300 from the register, cops said.
The crime would be easier to solve if the owner had kept on the security camera at the store, which is near Fifth Avenue.
A gang of heavy-fisted thugs beat up a 29-year-old man outside a popular Third Avenue club at 3:20 am on Dec. 15.
But this is not the easiest crime to solve because the victim told cops that he was too intoxicated to identify the gang of thugs that mauled him outside the bar, which is near 82nd Street.
The attack left the victim with a laceration on his head.
Someone stole the airbags out of a 2005 Toyota Camry that was parked on Eighth Avenue on Dec 14.
Cops say the theft occurred near the corner of 64th Street at around 4:30 pm, when the thief broke into the car — though he did not break its windows.
The airbags have a street value of $1,200, cops said.
If only the stolen GPS could track who did it.
That’s what one 32-year-old man is wishing after discovering that someone broke into his 2006 Sierra that he had parked on 66th Street on Dec. 13.
All together, more than $1,000 worth of tools and electronics was stolen from the vehicle, which had been parked near Eighth Avenue.
More than $1,000 was mysteriously stolen out of a car that had been valet-parked near a 13th Avenue restaurant on Dec. 16, cops said.
The 30-year-old car owner told police that she had handed the keys to the valet at the restaurant, which is near 67th Street, and went in for dinner.
When she came out, she discovered that $1,129 and a power drill were gone.
