Two women who parked their cars on 84th Street on Feb. 8 returned to find their rims and tires missing.
The brazen eight-tire heist began when the first victim, a 30-year-old female, parked her 2006 silver Honda Accord between 13th and 14th avenues and returned at 7 pm to find her tireless/rimless car. The theft was valued at $1,500.
The second victim, a 35-year-old woman, parked her 2006 Black Infinity between 10th and 11th avenues and returned at 10 pm to find her tires and rims, valued at $2,000, gone.
Cops believe the same perp committed both crimes.
A car window was broken and a cellphone stolen on Feb 10.
A 40-year-old man’s 2000 blue Chevy Malibu was parked on the corner of 86th Street and 14th Avenue at around 11:20 pm when the rear passenger-side window was smashed.
The perp fled with a wallet valued at $5, $20, and a cellphone valued at $100.
A man arrived home on Feb 9 to find his apartment trashed and nearly $20,000 in cash and jewelry stolen.
At around 3 pm, the burglar broke the security gate on the exterior of 64th Street home and entered through the bedroom window.
The 22-year-old victim arrived at his apartment, which is between 10th and 11th streets, to find the doors open, drawers opened, and his rooms in disarray.
The thief got away with $15,000 and 25 pieces of jewelry valued at $4,800, and fled out the front door.
A navigation system and radio was stolen from parked car service vehicle on Feb 3.
The 56-year-old victim parked his 1996 Dodge truck in front of a building on Third Avenue between 67th and 68th streets.
When he returned at 11:30 pm, he discovered his passenger-side window broken and his navigation system, valued at $700, and his car service radio, valued at $850, missing.
Two men were mugged on Feb. 9, during a stroll to a local deli on Highlawn Avenue.
At around 11 pm, two thugs in ski masks showed two silver guns to their victims near West Fourth Street. Next, they struck the men and, in the ensuing scuffle, stole $200, including electronics and a cellphone.
The victims suffered lacerations and scalp wounds in the altercation and were unable to identify the crooks.
A woman came home after a hard day of work on Feb. 9 to find her 79th Street apartment broken into and her safe missing.
The women left her home, which is near 21st Avenue, at around 7 am. Wheh she returned late in the evening, her bedroom was ransacked and rear window opened. Missing was a safe that contained $10,000 in cash and jewelry, police said.
Her neighbor told cops that he saw a white mini-van parked in her driveway around the time of the robbery. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to get a good look of the perp.
A woman trying to satisfy her sweet tooth was deprived of more than just candy.
She was walking on 86th Street near 18th Avenue to her favorite candy store at 2:30 pm when a thief sneaked up from behind and stole her purse. She told police she recognized the thief from a previous altercation.
The criminal stole $40, including credit and debit cards.
The crook hasn’t been apprehended.
A woman awoke from her beauty nap on the N train to find out she had been robbed.
She fell asleep on the Coney Island-bound train after work on Feb. 5.
At around 8 am, she woke up at the 20th Avenue stop and realized that she had been pick-pocketed while she was sleeping, police said.
The crook took $250, including electronics, credit and debit cards.
A woman was taken to the cleaners at the cleaners — her wallet was stolen while she washed her clothes at a Bay Parkway Laundromat on Feb. 12.
The perps snatched the wallet out of the woman’s unattended cart at around 6 pm, police said. The wallet contained $25 and her credit and debit cards.
The perps fled the Laundromat, which is near 86th Street, without being noticed.
A Bensonhurst man left for work early on Feb. 8 only to be greeted by two thugs who took everything — including his lunch money.
The 56-year-old man was on Kings Highway near West First Street at around 6:30 am when two muggers approached and asked him for directions.
As soon as he turned around, the two criminals grabbed him. They took his wallet, and then pushed him to the ground, police said.
The crooks took $20, credit and debit cards. They fled down Kings Highway towards Avenue U.
