Abut a boy

for The Brooklyn Paper

Three men cornered and robbed a 13-year-old boy as he walked on 76th Street on April 3.

The victim told cops he was coming home from school at 3 pm when the suspects surrounded him at the corner of Colonial Road.

“Give me your iPod and your money!” the men demanded, pushing the victim into a bush.

“This is all I have,” said the victim, handing over the music device.

When the perps found no money on the boy, one of the men punched him in the face and broke his glasses before the group fled down the street with the iPod.

Purse snatch

A thug grabbed a woman’s purse on 89th Street on April 1.

The 19-year-old victim said she was waiting at a crosswalk at the corner of Third Avenue at around 11:45 pm when the suspect came up from behind, grabbed her bag and ran toward Fourth Avenue.

The suspect then hopped a fence and ran through several backyards before getting away with more than $500 and various credit cards, cops said.

Unsafe at home

Perps forced their way into an 85th Street home during the day on April 3 and took cash and jewelry.

The 64-year-old owner of the house, which is between 12th and 13th avenues, said he left for work at 7:30 am. He returned around 12 hours later to find his front door open and some of his things missing.

The suspects had taken more than $1,800 in cash and watches, as well as two credit cards, cops said.

Lights off

Someone stole the headlights off a car parked in a 78th Street driveway on April 1.

The 62-year-old victim left his 2006 Nissan Maxima in front of his house, which is between Colonial Road and Ridge Boulevard, at around 10 pm.

When he checked on the car again early the next morning, he found the car’s $2,000 headlights missing, cops said.
