A 24-year-old woman battled three other women who were attempting to rob her mobile devices on Vanderbilt Avenue on April 6.
Shortly after midnight, the woman noticed she was being followed by the three women near the corner of Park Place.
She attempted to hail a cab, but failed to do so before the thieves caught up to her and snatched her Blackberry and purse.
But before the hoodlums could get away, the woman wrestled them to ground, attempting to recover her belonging.
She failed, alas, and the thieves made off with her the fancy cellphone.
It’s bad enough to side-swiped a police cruiser — but fleeing the scene of the crime is an especially bad idea.
But that’s exactly what happened at the intersection of Vanderbilt and St. Marks avenues at around 3 am on April 6.
Cops say a police car was speeding with its lights and siren blaring when another car crashed into its side and kept on going.
Cops said they did not get a good look at the other vehicle, but the good news is that no one was injured.
