Muggers threatened to shoot an adolescent girl in a DeKalb Avenue playground if her friend didn’t give them her cellphone on April 11.

The young ladies’ stroll through the playground near Adelphi Street took an ominous turn at 3:50 pm when two slightly older teenage boys stopped them, threatening the cellphone-bearing girl. “Give me your phone or I’ll shoot your friend,” one of the hoodlums said. Like any good friend, she gave up her mobile.

The playground was the scene of another teen cellphone robbery on April 14. That time, a 14-year-old boy, said a group of teens accosted him and filched his phone at 1:45 pm.

Postal bus driver

Police arrested a city bus driver accused of stabbing a man on Flatbush Avenue Extension while on duty on April 14.

The police didn’t report a motive for the attack, but the 46-year-old victim told cops that the driver, a 54-year-old man, stabbed him in the shoulder at 9 am, causing lacerations.

Burgled

An apartment on St. James Place was burgled on April 17 thanks to a faulty front door.

The victim told police she was not in her home between Greene and Gates avenues from 9 am to 11 pm, when the criminal broke into her apartment and stole her laptop, digital camera, printer and assorted jewelry.

Unlocked

Two locks on the door to a Clinton Avenue apartment were no match for the thief who wiggled them open on April 18 and burglarized the residence.

The 31-year-old apartment dweller told police that he had secured both locks on his front door before going to a friend’s house at 3:45 pm. Naturally, he was mystified to return home six hours later to find the entrance of the apartment, between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue, open and his laptop, iPod, designer glasses and credit cards missing.

Hot wheels

Thieves peeled off with a motorcycle parked on Grand Avenue on April 14.

The owner said he parked his red Ducati crotch rocket between Gates and Putnam avenues at 6 pm, but when he came back at 9 pm, it was gone.
