More honors for us!

The Brooklyn Paper

The Web site you’re now reading has been honored — again!

Fresh from being named a finalist for a top Web award by Editor and Publisher and Mediaweek magazines, BrooklynPaper.com was cited on Tuesday by the Suburban Newspapers of America for its “site architecture and overall design.”

The SNA judges awarded us second place in the weeklies under 100,000 circulation category, citing our overall look, use of graphics and easy-to-use menus.

“Overall, the site’s clean, intuitive design allows the user to have a good experience,” the judges said, praising the work of our Webmaster Sylvan Migdal and Senior Editor Vince DiMiceli.

The SNA is one of the nation’s largest newspaper trade associations, representing 2,400 daily and weekly newspapers in both suburban and urban community markets across the country.

The group said that there was a “record-setting number” of entries in the Web site contest this year — so to finish with the silver medal is nice.

Last year, the SNA gave BrooklynPaper.com “honorable mention” in the best Web site category — just six months after our full redesign.
