A woman was fooled by the old ketchup trick after she left an 86th Street bank on May 30, cops said.

The 87-year-old victim told police that she’d just left the branch, between Fourth and Fifth avenues, at 4 pm when someone approached and told her that she saw something on her jacket.

The seemingly good Samaritan offered to help her take the jacket off — only to nab the woman’s purse!

The perp made off with $600 and a diamond ring.

Big burgs

It was a big week for burglary in the 68th Precinct, with at least four homes and one business hit. Here’s a roundup:

• One gamer told cops that he had left his apartment, which is near Bay Ridge Avenue, on May 19 and returned on May 31 to find it ransacked.

Closer inspection revealed that his Nintendo Wii and controllers, video games, a flat-screen computer monitor and router — worth more than $1,300 — were gone.

To add insult to burglary, the thief poured booze on the victim’s furniture before the getaway.

• More electronics — and lots of jewelry — were stolen from a woman’s apartment on 72nd Street between Third and Fourth Avenues May 30 between 4 and 11 pm. All told, the perp got more than $3,000 in goods.

• More than $250 was stolen from a Fifth Avenue party store after it closed for the night on May 30.

A worker returned at 10 am the next day to find that the lock and doorknob had been removed from the rear door of the store, which is at 84th Street.

• A laptop and iPod were stolen from a woman’s Fourth Avenue apartment that was empty between 8:30 pm on May 30 and 10 am the next morning. The victim told cops that she returned to find the front door pried open and the goods gone from the unit, which is at 79th Street.

• A thief swiped $1,400 in jewelry from a 76th Street home on May 31 — and then jumped out of a second-floor window when the tenant returned, she told cops.

The resident of the apartment, which is between Ridge Boulevard and Third Avenue, said a witness chased the perp, but he got away with two necklaces and two sets of earrings.
