Gunpoint mug

The Brooklyn Paper

A crook with a handgun held up a woman on the corner of North Henry Street and Engert Avenue on May 31.

The thug approached the victim from behind at around 1:45 am as the victim was sending a text message on her cellphone

“Gimme your money,” he said, flashing a firearm.

The 21-year-old victim handed over her white leather handbag, and the crook got away with an iPod, IDs, credit cards, house keys, and $80.

Shut the door

A thug broke into a North Sixth Street apartment while the 20-year-old resident was in Manhattan, snatching a camera and a laptop.

The crook struck between 2 pm on May 31 and 1:45 am the next morning, leaving the front door and the refrigerator door open.

Cops say the crook might have gotten into the apartment, which is between Roebling and Havemeyer streets, through a rear bedroom window, which was found open.

Jean genie

A deceitful shoplifter snatched designer jeans from a North Fifth Street shop on May 26.

Before the crook heisted the lavish denim from the shelf of the shop, which is between Bedford Avenue and Berry Street, he told a shop employee: “I’m just looking.”

The crook escaped from the store at around 2:10 pm with 11 pairs of Goldsign jeans — which retail for $1,000.

Thug mug slug

Three miscreants smashed a 31-year-old victim in the forehead with a blunt object in front of his North Eighth Street home before robbing him on May 28.

The crooks hit the victim at around 12:30 am as he walked home from work. With the victim on the ground, the thugs grabbed his green bag and fled from the scene — which was between Berry Street and Wythe Avenue — making off with his iPhone, wallet, and credit card.

Cell snatch

A hoodlum yanked a Sidekick phone from a 15-year-old’s ear as he walked down Driggs Avenue on May 29.

The thug snatched the fancy phone while the victim was having a conversation at around 4:20 pm near the corner of North Fifth Street.
