kelly from park slope says:
Free couch? Cool! Oh, wait, there's a catch? I have to wait on line for 72 hours to get it? Let's see... so I can wait on line like everybody else, or rant to the media that I am being exploited and being made to wait outside in the sleet and snow (??) for my free couch! Or, I suppose he could protect his exploited butt and just walk into the store on June 18 and BUY the couch! Sheesh. What a jerk.

Mark from Adelphi says:
I was going to buy the couch originally. Had they stated explicitly what they were doing then I would have considered it and made the proper arrangements to do something like this. It seems to me that they were taking advantage. I will spare you the name calling because I am above that - but then again you are a ——. Were you there, did you know how things were handled? Did you get what I had? Then shut the —— up!

Furthermore, out of the 40 of us that showed only three people REALLY knew what was going on. Sorry for just saying to everyone precisely what others were thinking. Especially since there are only about 20 people left now. "Little Miss nothing better to do then ridicule people Kelly".

He's right. I was there too and it was confusion after confusion. I thought that the only catch was getting through the mad dash to get to the front. Instead they wanted us to camp out for two or so days. That was a bit crazy. Although I think the camp out could have been cool if you could plan for it. Why should I loos two days of pay for this. If that is the case I could live my life normally and take the money I earned to buy it. But after that stunt I think that I'll stick with the local Brooklyn business that could really use the support in these trying times.

Mac from Flatbush says:
I'm with Kelly. Totally naive to show up and expect there not to be a price to pay for something that's 'free.' Come on, did you think that Ikea got to be as big as it is by giving furniture away for nothing? Please.
