The city finally opened the public pools on Friday — and, of course, The Brooklyn Paper swim team was there. Join Pool Bureau chief Gersh Kuntzman and Pool Bureau reporters Mike McLaughlin, Sarah Portlock, Ben Muessig and Sebastian Kahnert (he’s East German, you know!) as they take the plunge and officially christen the Summer of 2008.
