Thief gets a little snatch in the afternoon

for The Brooklyn Paper

PM snatch

A teen hoodlum swiped a woman’s bag as she walked on Eastern Parkway near the Botanic Garden on July 14 — but the perp didn’t get far with his ill-gotten booty.

The 23-year-old victim told cops that she was near Underhill Avenue at around 12:30 pm when a man rushed up, punched her left arm and grabbed her purse, which contained her wallet, cellphone, and keys.

Mac Support Store

He was arrested later that day.

Park ’n’ bye

A thief stole a car that had been parked on Underhill Avenue on July 11, cops said.

The 43-year-old owner said he had parked the Ford Explorer at around midnight near Grand Army Plaza. When he returned the next morning, it was gone.

No evidence, such as broken glass, was found.

Crook on wheels

A two-wheeled marauder swiftly got hold of a lady’s purse on Prospect Place on July 12.

The 23-year-old woman told cops that she was near Underhill Avenue at around 2 am after a night on the town. The crook, believed to be 17, simply passed by on his wheels and grabbed her bag, which contained her bank cards, cellphone, and keys.

Won’t back down

It was a case of smush ’n’ run.

A Bergen Street man watched in horror as a lousy parallel parker smashed his green Chevy and then drove off before the owner could negotiate a settlement.

The July 10 incident was near Flatbush Avenue at around 6 pm.
