del.icio.usOur friends at Astella Development Corporation sent over a photo from last year’s sand-sculpting contest as a reminder that this year’s event — a mainstay on the Coney Island calendar — will be Saturday, July 26 from noon–5 pm on the beach between West 10th and West 12th streets. There’ll be plenty of face painting, arm wrestling and, of course, lots of people in bathing suits gratuitously caressing wet sand. Sounds like our idea of fun! Call (718) 266-4653 for info.
