Councilman David Yassky paid a surprise visit to The Brooklyn Paper newsroom on Friday, Aug. 1 — and the lawmaker came bearing two gifts: a proclamation to our publisher Celia Weintrob celebrating our new daily paper coverage at BrooklynPaper.com and his own rendition of Starship’s “We Built This City (On Rock and Roll).”
Yassky’s performance may torpedo his bid for City Comptroller, but, who knows, it could also point the way to a new career as a caberet singer. We would tell him to keep his day job, but the councilman is term-limited!
Editor Gersh Kuntzman brings you all the action in this “exclusive” podcast.
