Downtown office workers, starving for a delicious lunchtime sandwich, can now have their day on Court — F. Martinella’s has opened.
The old-style delicatessen, which is at 119 Court St. near State Street, offers Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, as well as salads, soups, coffee and bread baked by local hands.
But behind the scenes, F. Martinella is actually a corporate project. Its partner companies — Boar’s Head Provisions and Frank Brunckhorst Company — will be studying customer habits, explained spokeswoman RuthAnn LaMore.
But who cares? F. Martinella essentially offers a series of great sandwiches in a clean environment across the street from the multiplex cinema.
Prices range from $4.95 for a classic tuna salad sandwich to $8.95 for a juicy prime rib hero.
F. Martinella [119 Court St., near State Street in Downtown, (718) 858-6001] is open from 7 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday; and Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm. Catering is available.
