Barack Obama won the election — whew! Now it’s time to do some serious yoga! That was the idea on Sunday when more than two dozen yogis — and overworked, overstressed Obama supporters — flexed their muscles at the new Bend and Bloom yoga studio in Park Slope. And for all that stress and overly expended campaign energy, studio owner Amy Quinn-Suplina had the perfect antidote: mental cleanses and deep breathing exercises. “Political action often leaves out the personal element — that people need to believe in themselves first” before believing in the candidate, she explained. “The subtext was to cleanse the blockages to let yourself shine by doing yoga.”
