Tuesday was the hottest day of the year at Coney Island in more ways than one.

On the Boardwalk, we talked about the unseasonable temps with biker and boxer Joseph Ruben as he tried to beat the 90-degree heat.

The good news is that he willingly posed for our photos. The bad news is that temperatures have dropped — and it may even rain on Saturday — so Ruben and the rest of us will have to cover up.

Maybe this was one of those little "human interest" blurbs they put in the corner to fill out the page.

But it looks odd coming up as an item of "news" in my feed reader. Not that there's anything wrong with gratuitous torso.
