Fight night

The Brooklyn Paper

Trauma

A man trying to break up a brawl outside the Atlantic Center mall was hospitalized after a blow to his head with a glass bottle on May 5.

Witnesses told police they saw the victim, 31, intercede in a lopsided beating on one teenage boy at 3:45 pm on Atlantic Avenue. During the skirmish, one of the ruffians bashed the man on the head, causing him to lose consciousness and ripping open a gaping cut.

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy who had a glass bottle in his backpack.

Four score

A quartet of armed robbers were foiled by police inside a Myrtle Avenue candy shop on May 7.

Cops captured the three men, 18 to 21, and a woman, 31, who burst into the store between Hall and Ryerson streets at 3:17 pm and attempted to rob the business. A clerk and two witnesses identified the suspects.

Beat down

Two punks failed to steal an iPhone from an 18-year-old on Fulton Street, but they sent him to the hospital with a broken nose on May 9.

The dastardly duo punched and kicked the victim, eventually breaking his proboscis and causing other cuts. But the hoods were unable to snatch his cellphone in an attack that occurred at 5 pm near Waverly Avenue.

Unseated

A thief broke into a parked Mazda on Hall Street and stole valuable gadgets hidden beneath a seat on May 4.

The victim, 21, said he parked at 4 pm and returned to the spot between Willoughby and DeKalb avenues at 6:15 pm to discover that his laptop and camera were missing.

Lost their shirts

A known shoplifter escaped from Old Navy on Atlantic Avenue with 60 shirts on April 30.

Video surveillance showed the “known booster” loading up with about $1,470 of merchandise at 2:30 pm from the retailer in the Bruce Ratner-owned mall between Fort Greene Place and South Portland Avenue.
