The Brooklyn Paper

Monday is Memorial Day, a perfect day to head to the beach, have a barbecue or honor America’s fallen at the nation’s oldest continuously run march, the 142nd annual Kings County Memorial Day Parade.

As it has for the past two decades, the parade will start at 11 am at Third Avenue and 87th Street, and head down Third Avenue en route to ceremonies in John Paul Jones Park near 101st Street.

For info, call (347) 907-9547.

Afterwards, consult The Brooklyn Paper for a great barbecue sauce recipe or advice on buying lobsters.
