Lights out

Lighting equipment for a film shoot on DeKalb Avenue and Cumberland Street was stolen on July 6 or 7.

Boy Wonder Film, based on Jay Street, told police that several expensive lights were stolen from its location between 11 am on July 6 and 11 am the next morning.

Shutter thug

A thief burglarized a Cumberland Street apartment overnight on July 5 by climbing through the apartment window.

One of the two residents, a 35-year-old man, told police that the prowler stole his laptop and his roommate’s computer monitor when they were not in the abode between Flushing and Park avenues between 8 pm on July 5 and 11:45 the following night.

The victim thinks that the burglar entered through a second floor window because he discovered one had been closed that he had left open before leaving.

Gotcha, punk!

A man apprehended a teenage boy stealing a bicycle from his Lafayette Avenue garage on July 7.

The 48-year-old resident detained the 13-year-old crook at 10:20 am between St. James Place and Grand Avenue until cops arrived to arrest the juvenile.

Fight night

A mugger choked and punched a pedestrian on Clermont Avenue on July 8.

The 32-year-old victim told police that a villain punched him in the head four times and strangled him shortly after midnight between DeKalb and Lafayette avenues. The attacker then stole his iPhone.

KO’d

A hoodlum in Fort Greene Park struck a man from behind, knocking him unconscious, before robbing him of his iPhone on July 8.

The victim said that when he regain consciousness after the 7:10 pm attack, he discovered the missing must-have smartphone and walked to nearby Brooklyn Hospital for treatment.

BB king

A sniper strafed a 15-year-old boy with a BB gun on Fulton Street on July 8.

First, a mysterious popping sound rattled the normal din between Adelphi Street and Carlton Avenue at 10:30 pm. Then, the lad felt the pain from the pellets ricocheting off his nose and neck, though they didn’t cause significant injuries.
