A crafty thief broke into a woman’s 72nd Street apartment on July 15 and got a computer.
The vicitm left her apartment, which is between Second and Third avenues, at around 4 pm and returned four hours later to find her apartment ransacked and the Hewlett-Packard laptop missing.
A thief conned a granny into sending him more than $6,000 by posing as her grandson on July 15.
The senior — who lives on 80th Street between 10th and 11th avenues — received a call from her supposed grandson, who told the 86-year-old woman that he was involved in a car accident and needed money for repairs.
Ever the loving granny, she sent the money without hesitation — only to discover she’d been duped.
