A mean mugger hijacked a 71-year-old woman’s purse as she rode the B16 bus through Bay Ridge on Jan. 13.
The thief boarded the bus at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 86th Street at around 8:55 am and snatched the victim’s brown leather handbag.
The victim shouted that her purse — which contained a credit card, a family photo, keys, food stamps, eyeglasses, IDs, and $35 — was being heisted, but the crook pushed his way through the rear doors and escaped.
Thieves heisted a Bay Ridge woman’s purse on a Brooklyn-bound N train on Jan 17 — stealing all of the valuables that she had just removed from her safe-deposit box in preparation for Chinese New Year.
The crooks grabbed the 48-year-old victim’s bag after she fell asleep between 1 pm and 1:50 pm, as the train was between Canal Street in Manhattan and 62nd Street and Eighth Avenue in Bay Ridge — making off with credit cards, IDs, a Rolex watch, a jade necklace, a Burberry bag and a Louis Vuitton wallet.
