A car was stolen on July 26 from a garage on Adams Street by a brazen thief who drove the Toyota right through the closed metal gates to make his get-a-way.
An employee of the garage, which is at York Street, told police that the thief, who whore a white shirt and baseball hat, stole the car at 1 am. The employee also admitted to having left the keys on the car’s dashboard.
An argument on Willoughby Street turned violent on July 24 when one man pulled out a knife and stabbed his victim in the arm.
The victim said he and his foe were arguing at around 2:30 pm between Clermont and Vanderbilt avenues, when the attacker pulled a silver, four-inch knife out of his pocket and stabbed the victim in the arm, causing puncture wounds.
The attacked then fled and the victim received several stitches.
Two thieves worked in cahoots in a failed attempt to rob the Macy’s on Fulton Mall on July 23.
One thief discretely stuffed $1,312 in polo shirts into his bag at 4 pm before attempting to flee the clothing store, which is between Hoyt and Smith streets.
But both the thief and his female accomplice were grabbed by security and promptly arrested.
