What kinds of stores do you want to see on Bay Ridge’s Third Avenue? Here’s your chance to tell Mom and Pop directly.
The Merchants of Third Avenue, a business group that represents storeowners between 65th Street and 100th Street, has launched a survey to find out the sorts of businesses that customers would like added to the local mix.
“We truly want to know what you think is working or not working on Third Avenue,” said Rosalie Drago, a marketing consultant to the business group.
The survey, she added, “is meant to help us gather data that we can use to help the businesses do better.”
The 26 questions on the survey, which can be taken at www.thirdavenuebayridge.com, start with the basics, such as household demographic data, but then moves on to specific questions about the businesses that each respondant patronizes.
The survey also seeks to discover how often residents dine and shop on Third Avenue — and where they’re dining and shopping when they’re not doing it on Third Avenue.
Completing the survey makes the respondent eligible for one of 10 $100 gift certificates for use at local businesses.
