Those fancy iPhones are so nice that sometimes playing with them gets pretty distracting.

That’s what one man discovered on Nov. 24 when a young woman took advantage of his diverted attention on the Q train and tried to swipe the expensive device from his hand as the train pulled into Dekalb Avenue at around 4 pm.

The phone-loving man resisted, and was met with repeated punches to the face by his 16-year-old tormentor.

She fled without the phone, though it is unclear whether her brief attack ruined the man’s shot at a high score.

Knife strife

Three vicious thugs mugged a senior at knifepoint near Fourth Avenue and Pacific Street early on Nov. 27.

The victim told police that she was walking near the subway nexus when one man jumped from behind a car, pulled a knife and demanded money.

Two other equally armed jerks then came up from behind, and the woman surrendered the $80.

Safe not secure

At least two burglars found work last week. Here’s a round-up:

• Someone broke into a Schermerhorn Street apartment, taking $400 and medication — and the tenant told cops that only he and the building’s security team had access to the apartment, which is between Smith and Hoyt streets. He told cops that the crime could have occurred several days before Nov. 25, when he reported the crime.

• Thieves jacked some expensive electronics from a DUMBO apartment sometime between Nov. 21 and 23, when the 36-year-old victim returned to his home between Pearl Street and Anchorage Place and found that a Playstation, Wii, MacBook and a jacket were missing.

Car jackings

Two Cobble Hill vehicles were reported swiped last week:

• A brand new Vespa was picked up off Wyckoff Street between Court and Smith streets sometime between 8 am on Nov. 22 and 11 pm on Nov. 23.

• A 2004 Dodge pickup was reported stolen from Schermerhorn Street overnight on Nov. 25. The owner told cops that she’d parked the behemoth between Court and Smith streets.
