It’s safe to say we’ve done it again!
The Brooklyn Paper’s award-winning Web site was showered with yet another honor last week, as the New York Press Association named it the “Best Newspaper Web Site” in the state.
“BrooklynPaper.com is an outstanding local media Web site,” the judges of the statewide contest said. “With great restaurant reviews, savvy recommendations on stuff to do and an ever-quirky police blotter, the site offers a steady stream of highly local, highly useful information.”
The Brooklyn Paper also won second place for its editorials, with the judges praising them as “pithy, tightly written with strong opinions.”
It’s not the first time that The Brooklyn Paper’s Webmaster Sylvan Migdal has earned us national recognition for our Web site. Last year, the Suburban Newspapers of America named BrooklynPaper.com the “Best Local Community Web Site” in the nation.
And in 2008, the Independent Free Papers of America named us the best Web site, too.
The New York Press Association “Better Newspaper Contest” received 2,908 entries from 176 newspapers statewide.
