Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs has been in office since the Carter years. Challenger Michele Adolphe has tried to dislodge her from her Flatbush seat three times. This time, Adolphe has a killer issue: Jacobs is already collecting her state pension!

Of course, it’s all legal, but all’s fair in love, war and political debates hosted by The Brooklyn Paper. In this barn-burner of a debate, Adolphe and Jacobs trade barbs to win your support. So click on the screen above and watch these two go at it, as Editor Gersh Kuntzman, Political Editor Tom Tracy and reporter Helen Klein — also known as The Best Damn Political Team Covering an Assembly race in Flatbush — ask the tough questions.

The primary is Sept. 14.

Judith Salomon from Brooklyn says:
If Michele Adolphe wants people to take a little bit more seriously. She needs to make smart choices in her personal life, and stop getting involved with men that could tarnish her image, and reputation She needs to stop messing around with men of bad reputation like Mora Junior Etienne who's sleeping around all over West Palm Beach, using and robbing women. She's putting at risk her health, her career, and her family wellbeing.

People know him in Florida, that's why he always look for his victims far away. That woman needs to really be careful, smart, and keep her money tight. He doesn't really loves her, he loves her position, the advantages, he can get from her. Sometimes, it doesn't matter how smart a woman can be, they still make stupid choices. I would never vote for her, she has trash in her life, show could she represent us...
