Firefighters John Diodato (left) and Michael Anderson are all smiles — and the bulldog is pretty happy, too — after the pooch was rescued from a car accident on Ocean Parkway yesterday.
According to police, the dog’s owner was driving her Dodge pickup northbound when she lost control of the vehicle between Avenues N and O and ended up in veering into the oncoming traffic.
The good news is that the driver wasn’t hit head on, but merely sideswiped, and suffered only minor injuries.
But forget about the human for a second. Her dog, Diesel, was briefly trapped inside the truck, until Diodato and Anderson, from Ladder Company 172 on Bensonhurst, freed him.
