Williamsburg Walks was a wet washout last Saturday — but sunnier weather and larger crowds are expected when the street festival returns on June 18, closing Bedford Avenue from N. Fourth Street to N. 12th Street.
This weekend, the sprawling Northside Festival — featuring performances from more than 200 bands, as well as a film competition hosted by Union Docs and an open studios festival hosted by Greenpoint Open Studios — will bring heavy traffic to the neighborhood, perhaps turning Bedford Avenue into a people-watching pedestrian scramble for the ages.
Williamsburg Walks (Bedford Avenue between N. Fourth and N. 12th streets in Williamsburg), June 18, noon–8 pm. For info, visit www.williamsburgwalks.org.
