Park Slope

Burned — twice!

A crook stole some jewelry and electronic goodies from an apartment building on St. Johns Place on Dec. 26 — while the residents were evacuated from their homes.

The 30-year-old victim told cops that a fire caused her and other residents to evacuate the apartment building near Sixth Avenue at 6 pm. She left for two days, returned — and discovered that someone had busted the lock on her door and snatched her iPhone and TV.

A 27-year-old who also lived in the building found her $1,000 gold necklace and guitar gone the same day.

New Year’s bash

A jerk beat up a man on President Street on New Year’s Eve.

The 33-year-old victim told cops that he was walking and talking on his cellphone near Sixth Avenue at 6 pm, when a thug ran up from behind, choked him and threw him to the ground.

“Gimme your phone — or I’ll kill you!” the thug shouted before snatching the $400 gadget and running east.

Cops are hunting a 5-foot-6 inch man with clear skin who was wearing a gray North Face jacket.

Bad shift

A knife-wielding thug roughed up a delivery man on 13th Street on Dec. 26.

The 23-year-old victim told cops that he was delivering food near Seventh Avenue at 7:20 pm, when the jerk pulled out a knife, demanded the victim’s money, and punched him in the face. The creep then snatched $150 cash and a $400 iPhone and ran away.

Booze bandit

A jerk swiped some booze from a car parked on Seventh Street on Dec. 30.

The 22-year-old victim told cops that he parked his 2005 gray Nissan near Seventh Avenue at 10:30 am, then went to New York Methodist Hospital. He came back an hour later and found his Moet and Chandon wine, some clothing, and a Gucci wallet gone.

Book him!

A jerk swiped some cash from a shopper on Seventh Avenue on Dec. 30.

The 42-year-old victim told cops that she set her bag down at Barnes and Noble near Sixth Street at 11 am, then walked away for two minutes. When she came back for the bag, she discovered someone had swiped it — and $80 cash inside.

Not tool

A crook swiped some fancy tools on 13th Street on Dec. 29.

A 32-year-old worker told cops that he left a building under construction near Fourth Avenue at 5 pm, then came back at 8 am the next day. That was enough time for the crook to sneak through the basement and steal $2,800 worth of drills, saws and pipes.

ProCrook

A jerk stole a laptop on President Street on Dec. 31.

The 22-year-old victim told cops that she left her apartment near Fifth Avenue at 3:30 pm and came back four hours later. That’s when she discovered that the thief had climbed through a rear window — and made off with her MacBook Pro.

iSwipe

A creep stole some electronic gadgets from an apartment on Third Street on Christmas Day.

The 54-year-old victim told cops she left two iPads on a table inside her apartment near Sixth Avenue at 5 pm, then returned two days later and discovered them gone.

Uneasy rider

A crafty thief stole a car parked on 14th Street on Dec. 30.

The 41-year-old victim told cops that he parked his gray 2005 Volkswagen near Fourth Avenue just after midnight, went home, and came back a day later. That’s when he discovered his trusty ride gone — with no sign of broken glass.

Bar bandit

A jerk swiped a purse from a concert-goer on Degraw Street on Jan. 1.

The 24-year-old victim told cops that she set her Kate Spade purse near a chair at the bar near Fourth Avenue at 3 am, then walked away for half an hour. That was enough time for the jerk to snatch the bag — and her gift cards and $20 cash inside.

Bad stroll

A thug jacked a wallet on Eighth Avenue on Dec. 31.

The 23-year-old victim told cops she was strolling in a park near 15th Street at 5 pm when someone rubbed against her. She later discovered her brown wallet, keys and $80 gone.

Gym rat

A crook swiped a wallet at a gym on Ninth Street on Dec. 31.

The 22-year-old victim told cops that he locked his brown leather wallet in a locker at the Prospect Park YMCA near Sixth Avenue, went for a workout, and came back two hours later. He then discovered his wallet, keys and credit cards were gone.
