French food has a lofty reputation, but that doesn’t mean a new Brooklyn Heights bistro can’t be down to earth.

Chez Moi is offering up a casual twist on French cuisine that its owner hopes will transform the Atlantic Avenue eatery into a gathering place for rich and poor foodies alike.

“Bistros were created for everyone — artists and noblemen,” said owner Patricia Ageheim. “You’re supposed to raise a glass and see where the night takes you.”

Chez Moi, or “My Place,” will feature seasonal dishes such as bone marrow escargot, duck salad with goat cheese, and charred smoked octopus, among other dishes ranging from $8 to $20.

The eatery aspires to serve the everyman, but it boasts a high-end pedigree — Ageheim has a background at the hip and innovative Japanese restaurant Nobu London, while her partner trained with renowned three-Michelin-star-achieving chef Daniel Boulud.

The bistro will feature live acoustic guitar, jazz music, and a “cocktail mixologist” — all in hopes of filling a niche that Brooklyn Heights is lacking, according to Ageheim.

“Brooklyn Heights needs more good affordable restaurants,” she said. “We want to do something different.”

I leave in this country just for my hollidays, just for one week. Just i said : " chez moi s'est chez toi in Brooklyn heights".

Great Restaurant!!!
Solid french food with a good wine list and nice cocktails.
Very well priced with generous portions and very friendly staff. My favorite is the steak frites.
Highly recomended.
