These pooches performed dog tricks and treats!

Costumed canines strutted their stuff at “Howl-O-Ween” costume contests across Brooklyn on Sunday, and pet owners said their gussied-up dogs had a tail-wagging time while raising funds for borough shelters.

“He had a lot of fun,” said Kensington resident Kat Perino of her pup Zander, who sported a purple mohawk with his dinosaur costume at a money-spinning block party for Sean Casey Animal Rescue in Windsor Terrace. “People were stopping him like crazy to take pictures and rub his belly and he loves that.”

The shih tzu did not win anything in the contest, but he did win plenty of attention from the crowd, Perino said.

“He was a hit with the people,” she said.

Over in Brooklyn Heights, pet paraders put on a show on the neighborhood’s promenade, where more furballs competed for doggy beds and vet coupons while raising cash for the Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition and Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue.

One attendee turned his mutt’s costume into a family affair — he went as the Han Solo to his pup’s Chewbacca, while his wife and toddler completed the picture as Princess Leia and Yoda. The intergalactic ensemble was not inspired by the recent trailer release for the latest installment of the sci-fi saga, however — their dog was just a shoo-in for the wookie role, he said.

“We’re not even huge ‘Star Wars’ fans,” said Dan Lee, who lost out to a Flinstones family ensemble but still came in second. “It’s just that our dog looks like Chewbacca and he chews on everything.”
