Action-geared residents received a lesson in grassroots administration –plus helped induct a new slate of officers – when the Pratt Area Community Council (PACC) held a benefit in Fort Greene.
The 44th annual meeting drew area supporters to South Oxford Space, 138 South Oxford Street, where on the agenda was a discussion about the upcoming goals of the group, established by three-civic-minded individuals in 1964, in addition to the presentation of a leadership award to Councilmember Tish James.
Awards were also given to the New York law firm of Strook & Strook, and Lavan LLP and the Washington Tenants Association.
A raffle and a performance by the Patricia Robinson Music School capped the fundraiser.
