Bye bye, scooter
Some punk took an electric scooter from a Bensonhurst apartment located off of Kings Highway on Jan. 7.
Police say the burglar entered the location by using an unknown object to pry open the front door. After entering the building around 6:15 a.m., he swiped the scooter, valued at $860.
Threatening robber
A thief stole $2,500 from a Bath Beach resident on Jan. 5.
The teenage victim told police he got a text around 1:47 p.m. from someone threatened to hurt the victim and his family. The caller allegedly told the victim to send $2,500 over CashApp or he would hurt or kill the victim’s family.
No weapons or physical force was used to secure the funds.
UberEats pickup gone wrong
Some jerk brandished a knife during an UberEats pick up at the corner of Kings Highway and McDonald Avenue on Jan. 5.
Witnesses told police the perpetrator picked up their food around 2:45 a.m. before demanding cash using a knife. After the victim refused, the amateur thief took off in a black Honda.
No one was injured.
