A 74-year-old Gravesend woman died four days after she was struck and killed while crossing West Eighth Street by a 37-year-old male driver on Nov. 24.
Judith Holmes was crossing 86th Street at around 5:45 pm when the driver hit her mid-block with his 2015 Ford SUV, according to police. She suffered head trauma, and emergency medical personnel transported her to Lutheran Medical Center, where she died on Nov. 28.
The driver remained on the scene, and the police department’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
