Teen targeted for phone

A 16-year-old boy was attacked and chased for his cellphone by four men in Clinton Hill on May 13.

The teen told cops he was at the intersection of Hall Street and Willoughby Avenue at 3 p.m. when four unknown perps approached him demanding his cell phone. One of the men punched the teen in the face while a second slashed his right hand with a knife in an effort to take the phone.

The four perps then chased the boy into a nearby building where they continued to assault him before leaving the scene. Cops said they are reviewing nearby cameras to identify those involved.

Cab driver assaulted

A cab driver was allegedly assaulted and had his wallet stolen by an irate passenger he was dropping off in Clinton Hill on May 18.

According to the 40-year-old driver, he was leaving a man and woman at the Socialites Lounge on Atlantic Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. when the woman left her phone in the back of the cab.

The man, 18, returned to the cab to retrieve the phone but proceeded to allegedly punch the driver in the face and take his wallet.

Responding officers from the 88th Precinct arrested the 18-year-old man inside the bar where he also allegedly tried to use the cab drivers credit card.

Man shot breaking up fight

A 47-year-old man was shot while trying to break up a fight in Fort Greene on May 19.

The man presented himself at the Brooklyn Hospital emergency room after 8 p.m. that evening with a gunshot wound to the side of his stomach.

He told police there was a group of kids fighting by Cumberland Street and Park Avenue and that he got in the middle of it in an attempt to break it up. He said he then heard a gunshot ring out followed by a sharp pain in his stomach.

The 47-year-old was removed to Maimonides Hospital for further medical treatment. Investigating officers reported recovering a shell casing from the scene. No suspects have been identified so far.
