To mark the end of another successful school year, St. Anselm Catholic School celebrated a special Mass with the seventh grade students giving readings, petitions, presenting the gifts of bread and wine as well as altar serving. Monsignor Michael Phillips, pastor, was the celebrant and welcomed students, faculty and parents for making the academic year “truly a blessing.”
The Mass concluded with Brother Robert Duffy, OSF, director of Faith Formation and teacher Teresa Torre presenting certificates to the second grade class, who prepared for and received the Sacrament of Communion, and Early Childhood teacher Virginia Dunleavy asked each grade to stand as they were commended for all of their accomplishments throughout the year.
St. Anselm Catholic School, 365 83rd Street, continues to be the largest parochial elementary and middle school in Bay Ridge.
