A Fashionable turn for youngsters

Youngsters turned cool catwalk cats as they strutted their stuff – plus shed the spotlight on local designers – during a fashion show, presented by the Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club.

The spring showcase, held at Kings Plaza Shopping Mall, Flatbush Avenue and Avenue U, featured youngsters, aged six through 18, who modeled original designs and big-name fashion labels, commanding the spotlight on the first floor.

The annual tradition of a fashion show was created by Aleathea Sapp, the club’s Cultural Enrichment Program specialist, to raise the self esteem of youngsters while introducing them to careers in the fashion industry.
